How to prepare for General Knowledge Section for Government , Banking & other PSU Recruitment Exams?

In almost every Government, Banking & PSU Recruitment, there is a separate General Knowledge section that includes Current Affairs, Static Facts and State related General Awareness. Now since we have to consider that almost every exam these days has sectional cutoff's, General Knowledge has become one of the most important and integral parts.
But the bigger question is :
How to prepare for something that gets updated everyday?
Here are few important tips :
Stay updated via Print Media - Focus on activities & events happening on a daily basis, try to catch up with things that happen around you. Reading newspapers and watching relevant news shows help you stay in touch with them and consequently helps you in preparing for the exam as well.
Topic Wise study - Static Affairs include a lot of topics. Hence, its not a one day task to master them. The correct way should be going topic by topic and storing the relevant topics gradually.
Read Books & Magazines - Figure out some good General Knowledge magazines that interest you. These would serve as a repository of all important and relevant events happening each month and consequently save time revisiting important topics.
Prepare Notes : Various surveys indicate that writing helps to improve one's recall. Prepare notes on a daily basis in the form of important points and short summaries. There's nothing more handy than notes written in your own handwriting.
General Awareness topics likes dates , personalities etc are hard to memorize and that can't be done in one day. It is a gradual activity and should be looked at this way only.
Hence study hard, learn things on daily basis, stay focused and improve your chances to succeed.

Introspection is key to attain your Goals and Ambitions

Introspection is key to attain your Goals and Ambitions

Introspection is the examination of your own conscious thoughts and feeling. In psychology the process of introspection relies exclusively on observation of one's mental state, while in a spiritual context it may refer to the examination of one's soul.

"There is no use whatever trying to help people who don't help themselves. You cant push anyone up a ladder unless he be willing to climb himself"-- is a famous quote by Andrew Carnegie.Through these words he wants to make it clear that nobody can achieve anything worthwhile in his life unless he himself has the conviction that he can achieve it. Motivation has to come from within. At the same time ,we are told to introspective in order to gauge our real intention behind making all the efforts to have clear idea of the intensity of our wish .One must spend time having a deeper look at oneself. This helps  one become more aware of the forces that guide one through one's life and makes one feel what change one needs to make on's journey smooth and fruitful.I suggest that you should keep a dairy and note down all things that happen to you every day.

If you start following the opinion ,you can easily know some truths about yourself which are crucial to know your well being .At first ,you will find out what makes you happy. Besides ,you will came to know what are the main points of irritation which lead to you the lost of control. It is also means to know the feeling lying within yourself and point out the factors responsible for your worry .Your knowledge of your worry will keep you from getting afraid .This is possible only when you find out the assumptions you make about yourself as well as others . Mahatma Gandhi has aptly said , "Not to have control over the senses is like sailing in a rudderless ship bound to break into pieces on coming into contact with the very first rock".In other words ,introspection provides us with the truths we are generally unaware of.Without knowing our weaknesses and strength it is almost impossible for us to make our journey in the right direction.

It is only becoming aware of the patterns of  behavior which  form the basis of your life that you are able to take the right action which leads to the attainment of your goals and ambitions .if you attain your goals and ambitions, you are able to satisfy yourself and become happy. When you take sometime off to think over what actually awareness means ,you will find that awareness is actually noticing everything. In brief .you are required to be aware of the impact of the words used by you, your thinking ,the image you create in your mind , the judgement you make about others and your patterns of behavior .Awareness also comprises the impact all these have on the way you run your life. This awareness is very crucial ,because its is only by developing your awareness that you will be able to prevent your thinking form impending your progress towards your goals. Hence ,it will be apt to quote William Shakespeare ,the greatest English poet-"We know that we are,but know not what we may be ".In other words, to realise your full potentiality you have to to be aware of your own ability

You should never lose track of the fact you have to be aware of the factors that might impede you attaining your goals and ambitions. It is awareness which will encourage you to have self-control which necessary to concentrate all your energy in right direction. The famous poet .Robert Burns has written ---" Prudent ,cautions self-control is wisdom's root".Self-control can be exercised by you only when you are aware of the facts regarding your endeavors.

Looking forward  to your attainment of every ambition, Become Aware Of Yourself Attain your Ambitions and Goals .

The Early Bird Catches The Worm

The Early Bird Catches The Worm

There are many idioms and proverbs that express a gospel truth in concise manner.that proverb was first encountered in John ray's A collection of English Proverbs 1670,1678:"the early bird catches the worm"

A worm usually comes out of the ground  and a bird that begins search early gets the worm.clearly if a bird starts to search for food early it catches worm soon not repenting afterwards.Bird here refer to person and worm refers to the opportunity .to grab opportunity and to make effective use of it a person must start early as early possible . Simply put, this proverb signifies the importance of being punctual and disciplined to achieve success.

when we work hard at a later stage it may be of no use.if we start in proper time in a punctual and disciplined way,we will never be in trouble in the last possible moments and there are better chance of completing job. This is true in every sphere and every phase of life.

Its truly said " dont count every hour in the day, make every hour in the day count ". Opportunities dont come for mere asking. We must try to do do our best and leave no stone unturned.  while the time is on our side , the advantage is ours and cards are in our hands.we must keep them close to our chest and play safe.Once thrown carelessly we may have to repented ever afterwards .We should remember the words of Samuel Smiles "lost wealth may be replaced by industry, lost knowledge by study ,lost health by temperance or medicine ,but lost time is gone forever".

Therefore if one wants to to succeed in life one must dispel laziness, remove he 'take it easy attitude' and stop fruitless spending of time .One must learn time management in an efficient ,punctual and disciplined way. This is the first step to success.secondly work must never be postponed 'tomorrow may never materialise . we can only be sure of the present which is in our hands .postponement and laziness are the ropes which strangle time.

It is the most basic truth of life that we should never allow our golden time to slip away from us .We should utilise time in a positive and fruitful way to go to achieve our goals.Time is called as the strongest thing in this world which can damage and improve anyone.Time is very powerful" one can kneel down in front of it but never defeat it.one must always remember the phrases"

"THE SOONER ,THE BETTER"

Time is free but it is priceless,
You cant own it but you can use it,
You cant keep it but you can spend it ,
Once you have lost it you can never get it back.

The Role Of Media In Our Society

The Role Of Media In Our Society

Once of the earliest proverbs we learn at school is "The pen is mightier than the sword".This signifies ht importance and power of literature which has the ability to influence people more than any war or conquest. The written material is the source and fundamental part of media.with the advent of modern technology the media has diversified into many forms such as radio,TV,and internet. Together these play a very important role in shaping up the views and opinions of the world.

There is a well known saying "with great power comes great responsibility".The media ought to play a constructive role in the society. As such its role is a paramount importance since its conduct has a bearing on each one's lives style. In modern times we have seen that media has the power to accomplish seemingly impossible task. The role of media can be compared to that of a river.when harnessed properly the river is the lifetime of many people. But when in spate the same river can become disastrous .similarly when left uncontrolled the media can wreak havoc in the society.Hence there is a need for constant introspection within the fourth estate to ensure that it does not overstep its limit.

The politics of our country and the peoples perceptions regarding the same has been increasingly influenced by the media .Mr Modi cruised to a historic victory in the General Election of 2014 having employed the media to project himself as the harbinger of changes from the policy paralysis of the UPA-2 .In particular he made tremendous use of social media to influence the country's youth.

The internet has become one of the most powerful tools of the media.Social networking sites such as Facebook,LinkedIn and Twitter connect people all over the world ,reducing the barriers between the continents to just a click away.they have provide important platform for raising relevant issues facing the society.they also help in establishing a greater level of interaction between peoples of different cultures and tradition and religion ,thus helping us understand each other better. We also have blogs written by many eminent personalities ,in which they voice their comments and opinions on various issues. The all pervasive Internet has made virtually everything online cookery ,shows, counselling and yoga session watching movies etc.

Anything in excess is not good and the same principle applies to the media.Sometimes the media tends to go overboard in zest. This can lead to incorrect reporting facts and does more harm than good.Social media has come under fire from some quarters of the society for encouraging people to divulge personal and /or irrelevant details which is neither safe nor a productive use of their time .Excessive and sensational reporting has often led to disruption of law and order.

An impartial and vibrant media is an essential part of a developed and peaceful country .It is vital that the media performs its intended duty of serving the people in the right way. Only then will we see the establishment of a progressive and liberal world/country/society.
